Lingvo-pragmatic Approach to Conflict Interaction

Abstract

The notion of "conflict" is surveyed in different branches of knowledge such as sociology, psychology, political science, pedagogy, linguistics, because collisions of interests occur in all spheres of life. Conflict can arise only in speech communication, where counterparts battle for their interests. The aim of this paper is to find out various verbal ways of expressing conflict interaction in dialogues that interlocutors use to achieve their goals. The typical linguistic marks that provoke the conflict interaction are considered in the article (in English fiction and its translation into Russian).
